Official full manual

Filter8, page by page.

A complete browser manual with a separate page for every plugin tab, source-backed control inventories, dropdown references, screenshots, and practical workflows for building reliable patches.

How To Use This Manual

The manual is designed in three layers. Start with the interactive plugin map, read the plain-English page overview, then use the control tables when you need the exact button, dropdown, host parameter, or safe-use detail.

New to Filter8

Start with the Interactive Plugin Map, then Filter / Morph, Modulators, and Matrix. That path teaches the interface, tone, movement source, and routing in the same order a patch is built.

Solving a problem

Jump straight to the page that owns the issue: Sonic Control for mix fit, Gain Stage for level, Signal Flow for order, and Settings for behaviour or maintenance.

Looking for a control

Use each page's Complete Control Reference for buttons and dropdowns, then check Host Parameters when you need automation names or DAW-facing IDs.

Plain path: Shape the sound, create movement, route movement, make it playable, make it sit in the mix, then check output safety.

Plugin Pages

Core Sound Design

Filter / Morph

Build the filter bank, choose the morph topology, set the tone, and decide how active filter states move through X, Y, and Z.

Open Filter / Morph

Movement Sources

Modulators

Create LFOs, envelopes, followers, triggers, sequencers, macros, buses, processors, scenes, MIDI control, and parameter taps.

Open Modulators

Routing And Scaling

Matrix

Translate modulation sources into controlled destination movement with amount, polarity, curves, range clamps, via scaling, slew, and route order.

Open Matrix

Performance Controls

Macros

Build four safe, playable, automatable high-level controls that can fan out to several destinations and become modulation sources themselves.

Open Macros

Mix-Aware Tone

Sonic Control

Shape drive, stereo width, low-end behavior, sidechain focus, and dynamic space after the filter movement is working.

Open Sonic Control

Output Discipline

Gain Stage & Output

Set input hit, output trim, protection, loudness matching, clipping behavior, meters, and final delivery safety.

Open Gain Stage & Output

Processing Order

Signal Flow

Inspect, reset, load, save, and edit the order of major processing modules so the plugin behaves predictably.
