How This Page Works

Settings groups display behavior, performance preference, help detail, license state, version/update actions, and signal-flow access. It controls how the plugin behaves around the audio work.

Quick Understanding

Settings controls how Filter8 behaves around the sound design work: visuals, performance, latency, help detail, updates, licence status, and maintenance actions.

Start here

Leave defaults alone while learning the plugin. Change visualizer, oversampling, and latency settings only when CPU, tracking, or display behavior needs attention.

Look for

Clear status: version number, licence state, update actions, and performance information. These controls help you manage the plugin rather than design the patch.

Avoid this

Do not change performance or latency settings mid-session unless you understand why. Some changes can affect CPU use, delay compensation, or monitoring feel.

Simple rule: Settings is for plugin behavior and maintenance. Use the other pages for sound design.
