Wahida Audio is the controller for personal data processed through wahidaaudio.com, the customer portal, licensing services, downloads, and support.

Wahida Audio has not appointed a Data Protection Officer because one is not currently required for the scale and nature of processing. Privacy questions can be sent to the contact address above.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account details: name, email address, sign-in method, email verification status, password hash if password sign-in is used, and account preferences.
- Purchase and licence details: product, order reference, invoice or receipt data, serial key, redemption code, activation status, machine names or identifiers, activation timestamps, and download access.
- Payment details: payment status, payment provider references, tax and invoice information. Full card numbers are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Wahida Audio.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser or device information, log entries, request timestamps, error reports, anti-abuse checks, and session cookies.
- Support data: messages, attachments, troubleshooting details, DAW or operating system information, and correspondence history.
- Marketing data: newsletter preferences and email engagement where you have opted in or where soft opt-in rules apply.
Wahida Audio does not intentionally collect special category data and does not ask customers to send sensitive personal information for normal support.
3. How and why we use data
- To create and manage your account, licences, downloads, serial keys, and activations.
- To process orders, receipts, refunds, VAT or tax records, and customer support requests.
- To protect the website, portal, licence system, customers, and Wahida Audio against fraud, piracy, abuse, and security incidents.
- To maintain software compatibility, diagnose activation problems, fix bugs, and improve customer experience.
- To send service messages about orders, accounts, licences, downloads, updates, security, or support.
- To send marketing only where allowed by law and your communication preferences.
4. Lawful bases under UK GDPR
- Contract: to provide purchases, accounts, licences, downloads, activation, support, and related services requested by you.
- Legal obligation: to keep tax, accounting, consumer rights, fraud prevention, and compliance records where required.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent misuse, improve products, respond to support, maintain business records, and understand service performance, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: for optional marketing or non-essential cookies where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The website and customer portal may use essential cookies or similar storage for login sessions, security, checkout, preferences, downloads, licensing, and service operation.
Optional analytics, marketing, advertising, or tracking cookies are off unless you allow them. You can accept, reject, or manage optional cookies from the cookie notice or the Cookie Notice.
6. Sharing personal data
Personal data may be shared with service providers that help run the website, portal, payments, email, hosting, analytics, authentication, support, licensing, security, accounting, and legal compliance.
Examples of categories include payment processors, hosting providers, email delivery services, login providers such as Google if you choose Google sign-in, support tools, accountants, professional advisers, and authorities where legally required.
Wahida Audio does not sell customer personal data.
7. International transfers
Some providers may process personal data outside the UK. Where this happens, Wahida Audio will use an adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism where required.
8. Retention
- Account and licence records are kept while your account or licence remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Order, invoice, tax, refund, and accounting records are normally kept for up to 6 years after the relevant transaction unless a longer period is required.
- Activation, security, and server logs are normally kept for up to 12 months unless needed for fraud, abuse, security, or legal reasons.
- Support records are normally kept for up to 3 years after the last interaction unless needed for a continuing issue or legal reason.
- Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, with suppression records kept to respect opt-out requests.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, depending on the circumstances and lawful basis.
You also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and the right to object to direct marketing at any time.

10. Security
Wahida Audio uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption where appropriate, secure hosting practices, and limited access to customer information.
No online service can be guaranteed completely secure. You should keep account credentials safe and contact support if you believe your account has been compromised.
11. Children
Filter8 and the customer portal are intended for music producers and customers aged 16 or over. Wahida Audio does not knowingly create accounts for children under 16.
12. Complaints
Please contact Wahida Audio first so the issue can be investigated. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
